All my life, I've had unexplained digestive problems. My mom says that she remembers my troubles starting in infancy, and they continued throughout childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. Eating usually caused pretty extreme pain, along with a host of other intestinal annoyances (use your imagination :). I've seen more doctors than I care to remember. They all poked, prodded, and tested ad nauseum; only to come to the same conclusion: something is definitely wrong, but we have no official diagnosis. I resigned myself to living with chronic pain, and just pushed through it. At some point, though, the pain started to affect other systems in my body.
